Marleine Pacilio, President
Marleine Pacilio is President of The Preston’s Planet Foundation. She brings with her a critical background in organizational structure and thought leadership, having spent 20+ years as a successful marketing executive for global brands like The Walt Disney Company, Revlon, and Warner Bros. Entertainment.
An unapologetic animal lover who grew up in New Jersey with multiple dogs, Marleine’s first experience with rescue began in college, when a stray cat abandoned a litter of kittens in her basement during a snowstorm at Syracuse University. After hand-raising and rehoming five healthy kittens, a passion for animal rehabilitation seemed inevitable.
Years later, having left the east coast for the warm beaches of Southern California, Marleine adopted her own first rescue – a Siberian Husky named Luna who blossomed after being liberated from a backyard breeder. Their bond cemented a path towards regular volunteer work with various animal organizations, and ignited a desire to one day lead bigger rescue efforts.
A thinker, storyteller, jetsetter, beach bum, and dog-loving adventuress, Marleine now lives near Malibu with her adopted Rottweiler-Dachshund mix, Riley.
